The Opportunity
A premier US law firm is seeking an exceptional International Arbitration Associate with 1 to 3 years of post-qualification experience to join its globally renowned practice in Singapore.
This is a standout opportunity to work on high-stakes, high-value commercial and investor-state arbitrations across the Asia-Pacific region and internationally. You will work directly alongside market-leading partners and counsel, taking an active, hands-on role in managing complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes under major arbitral institutional rules.
Key Responsibilities
Substantive Drafting: Drafting key arbitration pleadings, memorials, witness statements, and procedural applications for high-value commercial and investment arbitrations.
Case Management & Execution: Assisting with the day-to-day management of arbitration proceedings under major rules (e.g., SIAC, ICC, LCIA, HKIAC, ICSID) as well as ad hoc UNCITRAL proceedings.
Legal & Factual Research: Conducting in-depth legal analysis on complex cross-border law issues, international law principles, and managing extensive document reviews.
Hearing Preparation: Preparing materials for procedural conferences and substantive hearings, including assisting with cross-examination outlines and liaising with expert witnesses.
Cross-Border Strategy: Partnering with international offices and local counsel across APAC to develop dispute resolution strategies and assist in award enforcement matters.
The Candidate
Qualified Lawyer: 1–3 years of PQE with professional qualification in England & Wales or the US.
Elite Background: Stellar academic credentials paired with top-tier international arbitration training from a leading US, Magic Circle, or elite international disputes practice.
Technical Rigor: Superior legal research capabilities, outstanding written advocacy skills, and a strong grasp of international arbitration procedure.
Analytical Sharpness: Ability to distill complex factual matrices and legal arguments into compelling, structured written submissions.
Drive & Initiative: Highly organized self-starter with meticulous attention to detail, capable of navigating tight procedural deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
