The Opportunity

A premier US law firm is seeking an exceptional Corporate M&A Associate with 2 to 5 years of post-qualification experience to join its elite practice in Singapore.

This is an outstanding opportunity to advise multinational corporations, private equity funds, and financial sponsors on market-leading, complex cross-border transactions across the Asia-Pacific region. You will work directly alongside top-tier partners, taking a prominent role in deal execution within a highly collaborative and dynamic global practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transactional Execution: Drafting, negotiating, and finalizing complex transactional documentation, including Share Purchase Agreements (SPAs), Asset Purchase Agreements (APAs), Shareholders' Agreements, and joint venture documentation.

  • Deal Management: Managing cross-border transactions from inception through to completion, including overseeing legal due diligence streams and managing closing mechanics.

  • Cross-Border Coordination: Partnering with international offices and coordinating with local counsel across APAC to navigate complex multi-jurisdictional issues and regulatory frameworks.

  • Strategic Advisory: Providing pragmatic corporate governance and regulatory advice to global corporate clients, private equity houses, and venture capital investors.

  • Client Engagement: Building and maintaining strong working relationships with key corporate clients and institutional investors, acting as a primary day-to-day point of contact.

The Candidate

  • Qualified Lawyer: 2–5 years of PQE with professional qualification in England & Wales or the US.

  • Elite Background: Top-tier academic credentials paired with rigorous training and M&A experience from a leading US, Magic Circle, or top international law firm.

  • Technical Rigor: Deep knowledge of corporate law principles, structured transaction drafting, and commercial negotiation.

  • Commercial Acumen: Ability to translate complex corporate legalities into pragmatic, business-focused solutions for clients.

  • Drive & Initiative: Highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels when taking ownership of transaction workstreams.
